Sadus vocalist/guitarist Darren Travis has confirmed the departure of co-founding drummer Jon Allen. In a statement issued earlier today, December 4th, Travis addressed the lineup change, though no further details were provided.

Sadus have parted ways with co-founding drummer Jon Allen following serious abuse allegations. A woman identifying herself as Allen’s significant other recently went public with claims of physical abuse, sharing disturbing footage and images of injuries she reportedly sustained while undergoing dialysis treatment.

The allegations surfaced shortly before Sadus’ ongoing overseas tour with Obituary. Devin Riche of Anubis has supported the woman by compiling and sharing evidence of the alleged abuse, while the victim has also taken to social media to detail her experiences.

Collins has posted a lengthy response video on Facebook, in which she discusses the incident. She is shown crying, and referring to Allen’s previous behavior, which includes habitual substance abuse and mistreatment. She alleges that he had taken advantage of her chronic illness and the fact that she still loves him despite repeated abuse. Despite Collins’s hospitalization, she claims he abandoned her to fulfill band duties. She later alleged in the video that the rest of the band was aware of her mistreatment, yet didn’t intervene. According to Collins it has been difficult to take legal action against Allen due to the fact that he is her caregiver at the moment.

Collins has since shared frequent social media updates, and expressing concern about Allen’s return to the States since the band are likely no longer on tour with Obutuary.

UK/European tour with Obituary is set to conclude on December 13th in Germany, The band recently updated their social media with a blacked-out cover image, signaling the dire situation.

The GoFundMe campaign Collins launched just yesterday now surpasses $2,000 of donations at the time of publishing this story.
